No Blood on Authority's Hands Theo was beginning to wonder if he was lost when he finally found the door to the roof. He had been stealthily searching the top floor of the Authorities’ House for what seemed like hours, and there was no way of knowing how many times he’d retraced his steps. The endless corridors were all the same: sleek, windowless, echoing slightly with each step. Theo had taken his shoes off to make less noise, but could no longer remember which corner he'd left them at. ImprintsThe waterfront, as usual, is packed with tourists. I weave through the crowd, ducking out of the way of people too engrossed in their cameras and Rick Steves’ guidebooks to look where they’re going. One of the vendors tries to push a German soccer jersey at me and I glare at him. He doesn’t seem to even remember the same thing happening last week. He doesn’t know I live here.
